- As infamous as New Jersey is for certain things, it is equally as renowned for others. As I travel this great state, it is peppered with fine dining establishments, while each unique, all simply characterized by their commonality as "Diners." They are more than restaurants, they are landmarks. The one thing that always stands out and gives you a glimpse into its internal ambiance as you pass them on the highways and byways, are their signs. But it makes you wonder. Who orders a steak...or a chop...or, worse yet, seafood from a NJ diner? If you are lucky, you might even be able to kick back at a first class cocktail lounge. This site, while dedicated to the diners themselves, is more an homage to their signs, specifically ones advertising "Steaks, Chops, Seafood (and and the Occasional Cocktail Lounge").
